Escape from Camp 14 by Blaine Harden

Shin Dong-hyuk was born in a North Korean prison camp and knew nothing of the outside world. Inside the camp, the prisoners engaged in a struggle to survive. It was a place where sons would betray mothers and mothers their sons. But Shin encountered a new prisoner who told him of the world beyond the barbed wire. The two plotted an escape, the only one known to have succeeded. But his escape outside the wires was just the beginning of his journey to a new world. This true story will astound you and make you thankful for all the we enjoy here in the West.
