Crunchy Cons by Rod Dreher

The  complete title is actually:

Crunchy Cons: How Birkenstocked Burkeans, gun-loving organic gardeners, evangelical free-range farmers, hip homeschooling mamas, right-wing nature lovers, and their diverse tribe of countercultural conservatives plan to save America (or at least the Republican Party)

It’s an approving look at people that don’t get much approval in our culture. It was written in 2006, so it could be interesting to see how the plan to save America started out considering how well it’s going now.
