The Great Good Thing by Andrew Klavan

Klavan is a well known writer of thrillers, including Don’t Say a Word and True Crime, both made into movies. He was raised in a secular Jewish household but meandered his way to faith in Jesus Christ. This book is the story of how he got there–and it’s a quite a story. The story of the Christmas Eve his mother sent him to celebrate Christmas with his Yugoslavian nanny is so evocative and moving that it seems to be the beginning of his long journey to the Christ.
