The Topic List for the Week

I will get back to blogging about books and Christian worldview and homeschooling sprinkled with a dash of my inimitable wisdom, but I am on a roll with explaining how I set up my website, so I am going to use all week to describe some of the issues concerned with that.

Again, I want to emphasize that I am starting as a novice at this and trying to follow the advice I find on the internet and from experienced bloggers to try to make this website pay for itself. I am narrating my experience pretty much as it happens in order that you can either be encouraged or learn from my mistakes. I am hoping for more encouragement than error, but we shall see.

Oh, one more thing: I am trying to do most of the work myself. That is I am not letting Bluehost set up my site for me and I am not paying anyone to set up WordPress for me or organize my website. If you don’t want to do all the work yourself, there are ample opportunities as you go through the process to take advantage of offers to do the work for you. It only costs you money.

A potsherd, of course, is a piece of broken pottery and is used as a simile in the Bible.
It is also found in this hopeful poem by G. M. Hopkins.
