How to Post Code in the Studio Press Community Forum

I read the Studio Press Community Forum rules, but they were mainly about remaining civil in the forum and not about how to actually post. That info is probably somewhere, but I haven’t run across it yet.

When I asked my first question in the Genesis Community Forum I tried to include the HTML code I was having trouble with. I did not do it right and found out that there is a special way to post code. It probably seems obvious to everyone else in the forum, as there is actually a button that says “code” in the post editor ribbon. But alas, it was not obvious to me.

So here is how you do it.

Paste your code. Select the code, then press the “code” button in the Forum editor ribbon to wrap it in backticks. Without this, the code is corrupted in the post to the Forum.

Now I know and now you do, too.

It is also found in this hopeful poem by G. M. Hopkins.
