Intercollegiate Studies Institute Offers Great Resources

Here is another good source for exploring academic subjects through a conservative viewpoint. The core beliefs of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute encompass six principles of a free society:

  • Limited Government
  • Individual Liberty
  • Personal Responsibility
  • The Rule of Law
  • Free-Market Economy
  • Traditional Values, i.e., norms of a Judeo-Christian tradition

They sponsor conferences and lectures (and if a local group is in your area, you can attend some of these as an educator).

The website offers access to articles and resources that support the study of the ideals of the American Founding and the ideas of Western Civilization. The materials are directed toward college students, but curious and motivated homeschooling students will find these materials challenging and interesting.
